Joint Operation

Good Afternoon 

On Friday 17th October 2025 Rossendale Neighbouhood Policing Team, in a joint operation along with Trading Standards conducted inspections of shops in the Haslingden area looking at the sales of illicit and illegal tobacco, cigarettes and vape products.

We found and seized numerous items of illicit and illegal tobacco, cigarettes and vape products valued at over three thousand pounds, just from one premises. Further action is being taken by both organisations in respect of this premises.

This is a continued joint effort by both organisations to stop the sales of such products and to stop them ending up in the hands of underage children. If you have any information in relation to such shops and premises then please let the Neighbourhood Policing team know.
